WHY FISH SOUTH FLORIDA?

South Florida fishing is rated amongst the best in the world. Hurricane Sport Fishing Charters and Captain Jim Hale can help you make your sport fishing trip to South Florida a fishing trip to remember. Captain Jim specializes in guided fishing charters for giant tarpon, snook, bonefish and permit on the flats from the Everglades National Park – Flamingo launch area – the Florida Keys and areas north as far as Biscayne Bay and famous Government Cut.

SOUTH FLORIDA FLY FISHING CHARTERS

Fly fisherman can book a Florida Flats Fly Fishing charter and work the shallow waters of the Everglades, the Keys, or Biscayne Bay for a wide variety of game fish. The opportunity for an inshore slam of Tarpon, Snook and Redfish or Permit is always there… on spinning gear or all on the fly! Sight fishing for these prolific sport fish is one of the most exciting methods for both beginners and advanced saltwater fly fisherman. Captain Jim will help you make the most of your skills with his nearly 30 years of fishing and guiding experience.

While fishing the South Florida flats is one of Jim’s passions, he also brings his lifelong fishing experience to offshore and near shore fisheries for species like Sailfish, Grouper, Cobia, Tuna and other South Florida ocean species. In fact, his background includes stints in such pristine locations as the Galapagos Islands. He played a key role in opening up the backcountry for sight fishing Pacific Snook, Red Snapper and Grouper on fly as well as Striped and Blue Marlin in the Galapagos unique and sensitive environment. So whatever your target species in South Florida, Capt. Jim can get put you on the bite!

It was in the Galapagos that Jim honed his saltwater flyfishing techniques, adapting them to South Florida fishing environments. His pioneering spirit is alive and well as he continues to expand his knowledge, experiment with new tackle and tactics, explore new waters and bring a wealth of South Florida sport fishing knowledge to his charter clients – many of whom have become close friends.

Formerly known as Cane Polin’ Charters, Hurricane South Florida Sport Fishing Charters has been featured on television including the IGFA Angler’s Digest television show hosted by Bill Boyce. With Jim’s experience and knowledge of South Florida’s sport fishing waters, Bill was able to land an inshore slam of Tarpon, Snook and Redfish in a single day… all captured on film!

As an IGFA Certified Captain, Captain Hale is an active supporter of marine and fisheries conservation and advocates catch and release of sport fish. He, like most conscientious sport anglers and charter services, asks that you only keep what you can eat and return the others to the water to be caught again.
